ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Florian Rückerl studied biochemistry at the Universities of Bayreuth and Stockholm. Subsequent thereto he obtained a doctorate of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich in the field of immunology and tumour genetics.
CAREER AS A PATENT ATTORNEY
Florian is admitted as German Patent Attorney, European Trademark and Design Attorney and European Patent Attorney since 2009 and partner of Dehmel & Bettenhausen since 2014.
Florian advises our clients in all matters of intellectual property rights, in particular in the technical fields of life sciences, chemistry and medical engineering. He focuses especially on conducting and coordinating opposition, litigation and nullity proceedings for German and European Patents. In addition Florian has profound experience in establishing advisory opinions on the validity of patent portfolios and the assessment of patent infringement risks. A further key aspect of his advisory activities is the development of global patent strategies and patent life cycle management.

Florian is member of the German Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP).
